Prepare a small amount of the product in a 1:2 ratio, meaning for every 1 part powder, add 2 parts hydrogen peroxide. Apply a small amount to your forearm or behind your ear. Wash the area after 30 minutes. Wait 24 hours. If, during this period, irritation, itching, or burning occurs, this indicates hypersensitivity to the product and should not be used. STRAND TEST: This test is used to check for incompatibility or chemical sensitivity to the product and to determine the desired lightening time and level. Prepare a small amount of the product in a 1:2 ratio, meaning for every 1 part powder, add 2 parts hydrogen peroxide. Separate a strand of hair from the top of your head and apply the mixture. Check the desired lightening time every 5 minutes. Do not exceed 20 minutes. When finished, rinse and dry. If breakage, dryness or a “stretchy” appearance occurs, the hair cannot be bleached and the product should not be used.
